It's like a ghost town in the station, everyone's off doing their thing, on holidays, at Christmas parties, and Bag's got an infected toe, so he's at home till he flies to New Zealand to meet his wife and daughter over there for Christmas.
The roads were crazy today. you think lighter traffic (because of school holidays) would make people a little bit more careful and considerate... but no. There's horns going off, car accidents, cars cutting in and out of traffic, everyone in a hurry to get everywhere. I think it's time they relaxed. I hate Melbourne traffic. I think a way a person drives is a true indicator of their character and temperament. The way they handle stressful situations. Maybe they should make that part of the job hiring process. When a car cuts you of, do you slam you hand on the horn or get out and start smashing his car with a hammer? Sorry, you don't get the job you crazy motherf*.
I've got a voice session in 5 minutes, so better wrap this up. We're heading to Albury on Saturday afternoon, and Sooty's coming for a drive this time, although we hope she doesn't throw up in the car like she has the last 2 times. Have a very Merry Christmas and a cracking New Year...
See you soon - safe and well - take it easy, not like those crazies on the road at the moment.

Twas the week before Christmas
Got my Uni results today - two credits, which is cool. 5 years down, 1 to go!!
Still have a few Christmas presents to get, for James and I... I bought a bike with my Chaddie vouchers from work, plus a lock, gloves and a bike shirt. It's fun to ride, but I hate Melbourne traffic. It's bad enough when you're in a car, let alone when you're on a bike.
Looking forward to the weekend, we'll go and see James Bond, finish shopping, hopefully get a bike ride or two in, and a couple of runs. I ran this morning, and did really well. I'm getting faster, and my endurance is getting heaps better.

Poetry from Uni
I got a distinction for this suite of poems, they didn't get published, so I'll stick them here...
A thinner day:
I reflect on an image
I refuse to look at
Shop windows, side mirrors
My enemies
Never strain to catch a glimpse
In case it's worse than I think.
But I won't always look like this
I don't always eat like this
Just catch me on a thinner day
Picking fights:
Choose your player
With the brick wall build
Electric veins
Armour unshakable
Battle scars
Choose your fighting style
Weapon unmatched
Super power
Rocket launcher
Fatal blows
And choose your opponent
The video game
Or a drunk guy in a pub
A homeless man because you feel like it
Just a guy who pissed you off
If you're going to fight
Let your fingers do the beating.
Let's see the flop:
The cards reflect in my eyes
Buried behind dark glasses
A test of truths across a green felt table
Mountains of chips before me
Not salt and vinegar
I'll conquer, whatever the cost
Players welcome royalty
Wearing suits
Is that man bluffing? Or is he huffing and puffing for nothing?
Psychology or perspective
Not addiction
I'll win next time
You can bet on it.
A scooter ride to the end:
Look at me on my scooter, the ones old people ride
Push you off the footpath with my little flag raised high
True I'm only thirty-three but I've got a shoddy ankle
And it's a long way down the street, at least a quarter of a mile.
I also weigh a fair bit, too much to drag around
It'd be so much easier, if I could just be sitting down.
My hearts not too good either, it could go at any time
Diabetes slows me down although I should be in my prime.
Instead I'll ride my scooter, all the way down the street
Turn in at the cemetery and get off the scooter seat
They've dug a hole already, I'll just take one little step
Off the edge and six feet down, never to be lazy again.
Remember that time I was so drunk:
I've only sunk a few tonight
Don't know why I feel so woozy
I need to make it to the bathroom
Then go back and join the party.
But with every step I take a pain in my gut rips through me
I fall and crawl towards the bowl, collapse.
My cheek rests upon the seat.
It's not so bad, I'm 27, I've had a damn good life.
Like, remember that time I got drunk and fell down the hill.
Man, that was funny.
And the time I got pissed and had a fight with a barman.
And got stabbed by a shard of glass.
You haven't lived until you've been beaten up by a barman
Oh yeah, and don't forget that time I was so drunk
I collapsed in the bathroom and died.
The flashing lights, faces merged to muffled voices, then nothing.
Yeah... those were the days, weren't they... the days I lived for.

Another week closer
Today I'm sore. We went for a 15km walk yeasterday, because I was feeling guity for having a big brunch at james' parents house. We also went for a swim in their heated swim spa / pool.
The day before we did all of our Christmas shopping.
I burnt over 5000 calories through exercise last week, which is insane. I also lost a tidy 3 kilos. Not bad...
7 to go till I'm at my goal weight.
Next weekend we're in Albury, then it's just two weeks till Christmas, yay!
I can't wait.
Better get some work done
Ciao

Another Monday
We had our work Christmas party on Friday night, now everyone's exchanging stories... mine aren't too bad - just something about me swearing too much, and my top falling down. Nothing I won't live down.
The weekend was good. Except I was very hung over from too much champagne. I started my extremist health kick. I nearly gave in twice, but came out of it with a lean beef burger from mcdonalds, instead of a big meal from KFC, and a packet of strawberries rather than a chocolate bar, yay! I'm so proud of myself.
I went for a run this morning, it was pretty cold out, but it's supposed to be 36 in the next few days.
Someone hit my car. It's the second time it's happened. That's because I work in such a crap area that no-one really cares about their cars. They park 1 centimetre away from you so it takes you 40 attempts to get out... but what do you do?
I might buy a bike for my work Chadstone present. it was an incentive for Sep, Oct and Nov. Our team made the goal budget, so we all get to go to Chaddie for a shopping spree. Not sure yet how much money we get, but should be a couple of hundred dollars... and you can only spend it on yourself. So I think I'll buy a bike.
James and I are quitting tennis to join our local YMCA gym. We can only afford one or the other, and seeing as tennis is only 1 hour a week, whereas gym is unlimited pool, classes and gym equipment, it makes more sense to us to do it.
Ok, better get stuck into my day... not too busy at the mo which is good.
Talk soon

Casual Friday
It's casual day at work today. But I dress casually everyday, so the only difference is, I put my hair in piggy tails, and wore rubber thongs.
What's on for the weekend... not much. Maybe a bit of christmas shopping, exercise, xbox playing, and that's about it. Have tennis tonight, which will be fun.
That's about all that's going on right now. I'm stoked that the week is over. I can't believe it's Christmas in 5 weeks.
See ya

That's it
I've sent in my final assignment for the year yay.
I'm not that confident about how I've gone this semester, I'm just glad to see the end of it.
Having a break should reinspire me for next year.
Anyway, I can't post any of my work, because my assignment was to send it off to try and get it published - and I break the rules if I publish it myself.
So we'll wait and see. If it gets rejected, I'll show you then.
I bought some new Nike Shoes and the Nike + iPod system that is like a pedometre and measures your distance, pace and time, giving you updates through your iPod while you're running. You can have playlists, and a power song that pushes you to run your hardest.
It's cool!
It took forever to set up though, I had to update iTunes which took forever because we're on dial-up until stupid Dodo can reconnect us after moving. I hate Dodo. Money hungry bastards. Obviously they have a hell of a lot of complaints and screw ups if the customer service line can't call you back for 24 hours.
So we're switching as soon as our contract ends.
Anyway, that took 2 hours for the first attempt, and 4 hours for the second attempt.
Then I had to update my iPod software which took another two hours. With lots of errors and searching message boards for answers as to why it doesn't register your internet connection.
Finally got it working. but yesterday I had a go at uploading it with the Nikeplus website, and had a heap of more errors to get around.
It's been frustrating, but hopefully worth it.
Enjoy the rest of your week

Happy November
One and a half weeks till Uni's over, yay! But still have lots to do on my two assignments.
The weekend after that we're going to Albury to relax and celebrate.
James and I are planning a holiday in January, and have decided to escape to Mt Kosciuszco for a week, it's cheaper than flying anywhere, and what we save on flights, we can spend on massages and mountain bike hiring and horse riding.
It's gunna be so much fun! I love the peace and tranquility of the mountains in the warmer months.
It means we'll spend Christmas in Albury and New Years in Melbourne.
There's not much else going on at the moment, but better get back to it.

Morning
G'Day
Well my health kick didn't go so well, on the weekend James and I ad a 60th birthday party to go to, which was great... but then we had Kel and Josh around for a barbeque and poker night... with lots of drinking.
I was hung over on Sunday, James went in to work, so I walked to Richmond to have lunch with him by the river, and then walked home along the river. It was good, made me feel better anyway.
This weeks going ok... I've got three major uni assignments due in the next two weeks, then that's it for the year!
We'll be home in Albury soon, for a yabbying weekend, just have to speak to Mum to tee up a good weekend.
Also found out that we'll be home for Christmas. James' family aren't concerned with Christmas day this year because Alex is in Alice Springs and Michaela doesn't want to drag the kids around. So we'll be home to Albury on Christmas Eve, and back the day after boxing day - provided we can both get it off.
I think that's all the news that's going on. James' work company changeover went well - that's why he's been so busy. So I think we're both looking forward to some great weather and holidays this Christmas.
Speak to you soon!

Wasting away
My day.
It's almost over.
I started a new health kick this week, I've been good so far, running every morning, weights training every evening, and a 1200 calorie diet. Except I went a bit over today because I had one of Katie's coconut tarts.
Weekend at the beach was good, although cold.
This weekend, we've got a lunch for James' Aunty, and also a poker night with Kel and Josh.
I've also got 2 assignments due... so that'll be fun.
I've had a crappy day today, so I'm going home to see James and Sooty and watch telly and make Moroccan curry for tea, and do my weights training.
By the way, got my hair chopped off shorter than shoulder length... it feels weird, but it's easier to look after.
Have a good week

Early new years resolutions
Why make resolutions only in January? We're starting now. Just did a complete overhaul of our budget to try and put some order to what is currently chaos, considering we just moved.
I've been to the chiropractor nearly as much as I've been home this week - and it's costing me a fortune. I can only hope it fixes my weird leg problem.
This weekend we're going to Ocean Grove to stay in James' sisters beach house. His whole family is going.
Our dishwasher is fixed! Yay!
Got my Uni assignment done early this week, but the next 4 weeks or so are going to be pretty full on for Uni.
Loving the warm weather - just wish daylight savings would start so I can enjoy more of the daylight at night.
Catch you soon

Frantic Friday
Works fairly busy, I've got tons of last minute stuff to do. But decided to procrastinate and post my blog.
Life's been busy. Mum and Dad did end up coming down last weekend, and helped out fabulously. Dad did an awesome job at matching the paint colour to cover all the spots and scratches and holes in the walls of our old place. Carpet cleaner went yesterday, so need to go and have a final check of the place before the final inspection on Monday.
I've started going to a chiropractor to get my weird tingling leg fixed. It'll cost me a fortune but will hopefully be better for me in the long run. At the moment I need to go three times a week. So I need to go before tennis tonight.
James is working tomorrow, I'm doing my Uni assignment. I re-enroled in my FINAL year of Uni - next year, and chose a few screenwriting subjects, a promotions management one and also a mentoring subject. Yay, I can see the end is nigh...
Next year I also want to study a few nutrition subjects through a Queensland Uni. It's something that I'm really interested in at the moment.
Oh well better get back to it. Mum and Brooke will be down again this weekend.

Living in Kew
We moved on the weekend, and it was the most stressful, exhausting, horrible experience in the world! I know that's a big claim... but trust me, it's true.
The fridge didn't fit in the spot, the dishwasher doesn't work, my new perfect fridge now has a dent in it, the tv cabinet is completely scratched down one side, and the old flat has a new, even bigger hole in the wall.
Heaps of our stuff got left behind because James' Dad couldn't be bothered going back for the last load. Even though we had the trailer hired and everything. So who knows how we'll move the rest of it. Bikes certainly don't fit in my car.
Spent Sunday cleaning, and still need to go back next weekend and finish the garden.
So to sook about it, I got pissed on rum and played poker all night with Kel and Josh.
One good thing, James' mum and I went shopping and she bought us the final piece of furniture for our bedroom setting as a present.
Mum and Dad were talking about coming down next weekend, but now they're not.
Anyway. That's life.

More Uni
Poetry as song: Changed the lyrics to Counting Crows "Another Horsedreamer's Blues" to:
He has been planning for a ripper of a night.
Work functions need him
More than his wife does at home
Success is measured by the coke that you sniff
Not the time that you spend with your kids.
He’s trying to hang onto
His life 10 years ago
But what about his 3 kids at home?
Last night he got pissed
Then he smoked a spliff.
He steals a smoke every lunch break to keep sane
He’s trying to fit in
With the work kids
Can’t become the father he needs to be
He’s trying to hang onto
His life 10 years ago
But what about his 3 kids at home?
He tells everyone what he did on the weekend.
Hoping they’ll all treat him like they would a real friend.
His hair is all grey, stiff and wiry, and
could it be from his 1 month old baby, or
partying till late like a stoned teenager.
His eyes are tired from his 3am high.
A night out with a thin chopped white line
Living it as long as he has the money
And when clients need him
He’ll help them out right
Just don’t expect that he’ll be home in bed tonight.
He’s trying to hang onto
His life 10 years ago
But what about his 3 kids…
He’s trying to hang onto
His life 10 years ago
But what about his 3 kids at home?
Writing the Gods
A throne or a pedestal?
12 inches higher than anyone before you.
At his right hand sits Mark Holden
On his left is Marcia.
King Kyle with his spiky crown, one day will be sacrificed for ratings.
Performers sing for him. Harmonic jesters.
He creates not man, but mans idols.
Join him. Eat of his success and raise your cup to his glory.
For comments observed.
Evil eyes… he’ll criticize.
Calling it a jelly belly makes good telly.
No miracle will sell your records; Unless deafness is cast across the entire population.
This is the word of Kyle Sandilands. Thanks be to him.

Keep thinking it's Monday
It's not Monday, it's Tuesday. Spent the weekend in Albury and got back at 3.30 yesterday afternoon. I'll post pics later.
Anyway James and I got two car loads worth of stuff to our new place. It's smaller than I remember, but I can't wait for the dishwasher. So we'll try and do another two loads each night till the weekend. Kel is lending me a heap of boxes.
I'll keep cleaning tonight too.
Shame Mum and Dad can't come down and help. It's great to have to have their advice on everything - like Mum knowing how to get stains out or how to clean the oven the best... and Dad knowing how to take the feet off the fridge and fix holes in the wall.
Oh well, we'll make do with what we have...
Trying to keep up with Uni... it's hard... here's my latest ad.

5 minutes before a meeting
I don't have long to write, but wanted to say "We have a new house!" yay. We're moving to Brougham Street Kew.
Putting in Notice today at our current house so we have until the 11th of October to be out. Next weekend we're in Albury, so it'll all fall into the weekend after. The only time we can get Josh and Kel's help.
So now the stress starts. We started packing and cleaning on the weekend. Hopefully it won't be too big a job, considering it's only a small place.
We also bought a new bed yesterday, from captain Snooze. That means that if anyone wants to come and stay, they can sleep in a real bed, in a real bedroom...
And it's only costing us an extra $100 a week to have that extra space! Oh well... it'll be fun to get to know a new neighbourhood, everyone jokes that we're in the 'burbs now... but it's still fairly close to the city. It'll take both of us longer to get to and from work everyday, but hopefully I can find a shortcut.
OK, that's my 5 minutes up... speak soon

Spring has sprung
I felt like giving it some corny title like that. I love the smell of flowers as I walk to my car. I love that the sun's up when I'm up. I love that it's still light when I leave work.
Last Friday night we missed tennis because we got tickets to the premiere of Clerks 2 - the new Jay and Silent Bob movie, with a question and answer session with Kevin Smith AKA Silent Bob.
It was wicked! We went with Katie and Lauryn.
Kel's gunna buy poker chips on the weekend, and James wants to have our housewarming (When we find a new place) as a poker night. That should be fun, because I think I'm getting pretty good at poker. He wants to invite all his mates from work. I met a few of them last week when we went to pick up boxes. A couple of them want to play tennis with us too...
So this weekend, we're house hunting, I'm doing lots of Uni work, and I'm hopefully getting over the last of this cold.
Better go, I've got a voice to direct...
Have a good one!

Haven't posted in ages
Well I'm almost better, but now there's another strand of colds going around... hopefully it'll pass soon, because I want to be out enjoying the awesome weather we're having.
We didn't get evicted, but now we've decided to move anyway, we've had this ongoing water system leak in our wall that keeps covereing the wall in mould, and we're a bit sick of it.
So we're looking for a bigger two bedroom place, with a dishwasher.
There's a few in Hawthorn that look great - so we'll try and get in this weekend to inspect.

These are ads I did for my Uni work...

Another day home in bed
I left work at 11 today. It was easy to get to sleep when I got home... not like last night.
Then got up and watched Judge Judy, had dinner, did my weights.
I'll go to bed again in half an hour, after I do the dishes.
I'm also trying to catch up on Uni work. The bad thing about not having an exam at the end of the year is continual work throughout the year. I think next weekend I'll dedicate to Uni assignments.
But I'm really enjoying my subjects this year, especially poetry.
It's not looking good for the whole eviction thing. We're pretty sure we'll have 60 days to find a new place, but it's really upset our house deposit saving plans. Not to mention the stress and costs of moving. We're really settled where we are now, we love the area, we love our place... so now we're just annoyed. Because that's twice in a row we've been forced out of a place for some reason or another.
Anyway, I've got dishes to do... so enjoy.

Haven't posted in a while
I've been sick with the flu, laying awake all night, coughing.
Had a quiet weekend, but only got 3 hours sleep last night.
Here's another poem - it's about intertext, taking text from another source and creating a poem out of it. I used a manual for a video editing software program.
Creating a movie:
To customize time
Seconds, measures and beats.
Gives you the freedom to experiment.
Changing focus
Without sacrificing the quality
Dragging and dropping
Will be mastered in minutes
You can quickly recall
Events
Both powerful and flexible.
Also, we think we've been given notice to vacate on our flat. Because we got a registered letter from our estate agent, but there was no letter in it. They're required by law to send notice to vacate by registered mail, only... so that's all we can assume it is, until they confirm.
Until then we're hoping for the best!
See ya

A poem for today
Ultrasound affects mouse brains: study
Lack of fresh air affects my brain; exit
Follow the green signs.
“I heard you wrote some great ads for Nintendo”
Yeah? So give me one of those awards, triangles with the top cut off.
Propped on desks I pass.
Keep walking. The doors ahead. My escape to the outside, to the perfect garden.
It’s 3 city squares in size.
Beautiful paths meander a perfect journey.
No dirt to play in on the way.
No potholes to surprise them
It’s not a garden
Every strand of grass the same
Too flawless; not real.
It’s warmer than I thought it’d be.
Joggers loose their shirts and ties, for one hour of movement.
A treadmill spinning with no stop button.
Our democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities.
We all have the right to enjoy the park
We all have the right to run. To eat. To snooze in the park.
Maybe I’m crazy?
Like a noodle, sizzling at the noodle shop down the street.
Probably.
Lack of fresh air affects my brain; exit
Follow the green signs.

I won!
I won an award yesterday at work.
For Innovation and Initiative for the quarter... cool, eh!
That's 2 awards in a row.
We're working out what we'll do this weekend. Bomebers are playing in Sydney, so can't see that. We need to buy a new fan heater because ours blew up and smoke started pouring out the top of it. But so far Target and Kmart have been sold out, and they're not getting in any more for the season. So we'll try Betta Electrical / Harvey Norman. I need to buy a new belt to hold my pants up. And I want to buy a soccer ball and play in the park today.
Tomorrow we'll do the Kokoda memorial 1000 steps, twice.
Ava good one!

Poem: Interior Space
They call this room the boardroom. But I’m not bored.
A windowed wall looks down on St Kilda Road, where a tram rattles by
Its bells sound through the room, like a missile warning.
A moments distraction, that disappears on its timely journey to the city.
Sit back, let the chair swallow you, as important people bear down upon you.
Look out across the sea of wood, that stretches out in front of you.
Divided by a black leather line, a design from the 90s.
The battle line. Can I surrender now?
Shoes rest on carpet, worn and torn from many a boardroom fight.
Ice green walls have no calming effect.
One man struts above. Begging for attention, with his no nonsense voice. The Manager. The Captain. An artist.
Painting a numerical picture across the whiteboard, in black, blue and red.
Telling a tale of revenue, budgets and availability of stock.
An attack plan. We’ll take the market by storm.
The troops sip their rations, soy lattes, no sugar. It smells like a freakin’ cafĂ© in here.
Wearing fashionable suits. No scratches, no battle scars. No torn clothes, no limbs missing. Yet.
Go forth. Fight hard. Win every dollar. No retreat.
And we’ll see you at next week’s meeting.

Bombers won
Bombers won on the weekend! Yay!
James and I went to the game at Telstra Dome - thanks to Kylee for giving us tickets.
It inspired us to go along, for the first time this year, and support them, and they pulled off a win for us!
I bought my dress, from Miss Shop - at Myer in the city, it's called The Basement. Anyway, it's a size 12, so I'm stoked. Everything's paying off.
It's worth my hour a day exercise, no excuses, and calorie counting. On Sunday after seeing Mel, Pete and Julyet at Healesville, I went home and ran 50 minutes straight on the treadie... no stopping. I was really proud.
The problem is, to burn my 500 calories a day, it's getting harder and takes longer. Minimum of 50 minutes now to do it, it's good because I'm getting fitter, but annoying because it takes so long.
I watched the Big Brother finale, and I'm disappointed that Camilla didn't win.
Anyway, I've got to keep going. I've been working on poetry for my Uni - so I'll post it as soon as I finish it.
See ya

End of the week
It's Friday. Obvious, I know.
Plans for the weekend... get a haircut... go shopping for a dress... meet my sister Mel at Healesville... go see the Bombers play Brisbane...
Play tennis tonight. We've got a new lady joining us, which could be cool. It's a different dynamic with an extra person.
We're trying to set up a friendly tennis match with two people James works with. And we're also trying to drum up enthusiasm and people to join us white water rafting.
Bag, the guy I work with, is jumping out of a plane tomorrow. I think that's going a tad too far, but I'd like to go paragliding one day. I know you can in Bright.
Oh well, I've got to make a cup of tea, then get into my work. I've got tons to do, and want to try and get the list down.
Enjoy your weekend. Cristy.

Weird week
Well we said goodbye to Alex on Sunday. James helped pack the truck, while Julia and I cleaned the walls. Alex smoked inside, and therefore all the nicotine and tar were dribbling down the wall in brown streaks. Siiiiccckk. You'd wash it all down, and then come back and the wall was brown again where more had leaked out. After that we had a barbeque at James' parents house.
I got a $100 myer voucher from work today, as an incentive - don't have plans for it as yet, but might go towards buying a new frock. We've got the end of financial year party in 2 weeks, and it'd be cool to get something new.
Uni started officially yesterday, but I still haven't received half of my notes. I'll just make do with what I've got.
Cool, that's it for now.

Almost the weekend
It's weird, everything I do during the week is about getting to this point. Friday, and the weekend. I ran on the tready last night, but it's not easy to run 7.5 km after dinner, so I only did 6km. I have to always run before dinner from now on.
I've found that I'm more tired these days, my body is repairing itself everyday, using more energy, for less energy going in. It makes it harder to get up in the morning.
Don't know what's on for the weekend. We have tennis tonight, maybe a farewell for Alex, maybe we'll see a movie. I have to go shopping for a dress soon, for our end of financial year work cocktail party.
Have a great weekend, hope I do too!

Hump Day
It's Wednesday, hump day, the middle of the week, it's all down hill to the weekend!
Exercise is going great, I did another 7.5 km run last night and weights training on Monday night. I'm glad I'm not as sore today as I was on Monday after the run.
Just found out James' brother has a job in Alice Springs... a massive change, but I guess he's at the age to do it.
Work is good. I've got a few things happening. Have a voice over coming in at 9 this morning, and a long list of stuff to do.
Uni starts soon. I don't have exams this semester for any subject, so James and I might be able to take a well deserved holiday. (Usually I use all my holidays for exams.)
Kelli found a new flat. She and Josh got the keys last night.
Anyway, that's about all for today, hump day.
Cheers, Cristy

Mon-dee
I'm sore this morning. Yesterday I ran 7.5km on the treadmill, in training for the 7.5km fun run. It took 50 minutes, and I ran the whole thing... now I need to add some incline and up my speed a bit. But tonight I'll do weight training because I'm too sore to run.
James has the day off today, he has a day in lieu for working the other weekend. At work I'm fairly quiet. In the process of refocusing my role, and therefore removing a great deal of my workload, which I'm not sure the creative department appreciates.
I spoke to Mum last night, she sounds busy... always busy.
Ok, have to do some work now, have a good week

Rainy Saturday
Woke up this morning to lots of rain... it's great because we need it, but no so good because we can't do the 1000 steps Kokoda Memorial. James is still in bed, he stayed up last night to watch the Tour de France, and didn't get to bed until 5am.
We played tennis last night. We changed courts, and now have to put up with loud trains, car traffic and helicopters flying over... not so good when you're trying to concentrate. Plus some of the lights were out so it was really hard to see the tennis balls.
Well what's on the agenda for today... I'm going to do my weights for an hour this morning, go for a run on the treadmill this afternoon, and babysit Claudia, Annika and Claire tonight. Maybe clean up the house a bit, enjoy having no Uni or freelance work to do, and enjoy the sound of the rain.
I might walk around to the shop in a sec and buy a nice coffee.
But first, here's a picture of James and I at the zoo...

The story's intro
This isn't the first time I've blogged. In fact, I've started plenty of blogs, but never really continued them. But my sister's blog inspired me, so I started this one. I guess it's a way of keeping in touch with what's going on. And I always write better than I speak, so people are more likely to understand what I'm on about if they read it.
So, the intro... My name's Cristy. I live in Richmond, Victoria, Australia... right near the famous MCG. Close to the Yarra, and the perfect distance from the city. I live there with my partner James, and our cat, Sooty.
I work in St Kilda, as a creative strategist for a radio network. That means that I'm part of network revenue generation and client strategy - or getting new clients onto the station by impressing their agencies. Basically I'm the idea generation, scripting and packaging part of it.
I also study a Uni degree part time, majoring in marketing, and I just got last semesters results today! I've got a year and a half to go, but it's easy when you can see the light at the end.
Ok, I'm going to continue this blog, I'll put a reminder in my calender to post again on Monday - it only takes 21 days to start a habit... "Must keep blogging"!
Have a great weekend! James and I are babysitting for his sister Micaela on Saturday night, we'll do the 1000 steps Kokoda memorial walk in the Dandenongs sometime over the weekend too. We've got it down to 25 minutes up, and are hoping to smash that time. We're still embarrassed by Ron Barassi making it up and back, twice, in the time it took us to do it once... and he's like 70.
We've also got our sights set on the Melbourne Marathon 7.5km fun run, in October.
All the best
Cristy
